A meal served in a discarded tin
Under the Ghana School Feeding Programme, children in Ama’s school receive one hot meal a day. Ama had no bowl of her own her banku and palaver soup were served into a used tomato tin, the only container she had. Today, Ama has a full school uniform, shoes, socks, a school bag, books and pencils, and a proper bowl for her daily meal. Her family says she now “stands a little taller.”
“God bless you, Savannah Woye, for transforming Ama’s life.”
